Charlotte Chow

Architectural Assistant

Charlotte recently graduated from the University of Nottingham and the joined the studio as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant. She has a strong interest in how the built environment can shape collective action and community resilience. She is particularly drawn to projects that explore adaptive reuse and tactical urbanism, where design becomes a tool for empowerment and transformation.

Charlotte’s academic and design work investigates the politics of space, looking at how architecture can foster resistance, support participatory processes, and support hierarchical urban systems. Through this lens, she engages with questions of materiality, circular economy, community involvement, and the role of design in contested territories. Charlotte’s work was nominated for the 2025 AJ Student Prize and was awarded the Matt Carapiet Prize for Humanitarian Architecture.

During her free time, Charlotte enjoys doing sports, especially basketball, and catching up with friends over coffee.
