William Peers

Architectural Assistant

Will joined Cullinan Studio in 2025 after graduating from the Liverpool School of Architecture. During his time there, he developed a keen interest in designing socially engaging and sustainable proposals anchored by, and working within challenging historical and cultural contexts, which he had the opportunity to develop through his BA3 design brief, ‘A Plan for Huyton’.

Both projects, ‘Grow Huyton’ and ‘Huyton Bakehouse’, worked within the existing frameworks of real-world developments in an undervalued suburb of Liverpool.

Involving the local community from the outset allowed Will to collaborate and provide creative, exciting solutions to combat real-world issues, whilst exploring the effectiveness of demountable structure, meanwhile space and adaptive reuse as agents for lasting social change.

Upon graduating, Will was delighted to be awarded the prestigious Professor Robert P Nicholls Travel Award, as recognition for his proposal to study both the built and unbuilt aspects of Aalto’s partially realised masterplan for Säynätsalo at the Alvar Aalto Foundation archives in Jyväskylä.

Outside of Cullinan Studio, Will enjoys listening to his record collection, and is an avid film photographer, with varying success!
